Recognizing that problems associated with underage drinking cannot be addressed by focusing solely on youth, the State of South Carolina is working with local Alcohol Enforcement Teams, Drug Free Community Coalitions and your County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Authority to target parents and other adults through our Out Of Their Hands statewide initiative.

South Carolina's Alcohol Enforcement Team (AET) model has grown from a couple of local successes to statewide coverage! AET's now cover all 16 of the State's judicial circuits, providing more intense and consistent enforcement of underage drinking laws. AET's are local multi-jurisdictional partnerships that use best practice enforcement to reduce underage drinking and to save lives.
